Fourth post

I'm not very familiar with all of these 3 different projects, but here is my rank
1. In Depth Software Development
2. Web 2.0 Tools
3. Netbook Cart Team

1. Why did you rank the projects in the order that you did?
-I ranked in the order that I would like to learn.

2. How would your first project selection best make use of your personal skills and abilities?
- I'm able to learn new things quickly

3. Is there any project you really don’t think you are suited for? Why?
- I don't think I am suited for projects that require teaching other classes how to handle netbooks, hardware stuff because I don't know how to work with them.

Shaping Tech for the Classroom

For dabbling, I think the best idea is creating random software because teachers can create a program that may be helpful for students. This can lead other people to try making different programs and it may lead a new way of learning.

For old things in old ways, looking at assignments and work posted by the teacher is the best idea. You can just go on and look at it. If you missed that class, you can just print it and know what's going on in the class. And also if you like typing more than writing, you can type up your work and send it to your teacher. This can allow students to do less work and get better results.

For old things in new ways, using technology to show students demonstrations, flash animation is the best idea because by looking at them it will help the students understand it better and they don't have to read all about it.

For doing new things in new ways, allowing students to learn about nanotechnology, bioethics and such will help and also make the students think about various career pathways. By learning from real experts, students will get to learn a lot and experts are able to answer questions that normal teacher wouldn't be able to. Playing with technology possibly can open up many new ways to study and learn.

Second post

I think IDC ICT course is going to be very helpful for me because I'm not very good with computers and I  think can learn a lot from this course. So far I'm enjoying this course and I hope it's fun unlike the other courses.

First post

For our first IDC ICT project, I was in the netbook survey group. Our job was to  make a survey and present our results to the class.

For completion of task I would rate myself 4 out of 4 because the task was completed.

For cooperative participation in group I would rate myself 4 out of 4 because I participated and I shared my resources with the group.

For creative and critical thinking I would rate my self 2 out of 4 because i was not very creative and I tried to make suggestions, but I don't think I was very helpful.

For initiative I would rate myself 4 out of 4 because I used my class time effectively and completed my tasks.
